Abstract

|
The term "Herpes zoster oticus" is synonymous with the Ramsay-Hunt syndrome, herpes otic cephalic zoster, geniculate ganglion syndrome, geniculate syndrome or geniculate neuralgia.
The clinical syndrome of herpes zoster oticus consist of radicular neuralgia around the e vesicular eruption on external ear, a paresis of facial nerve, hearing loss, tinnitus and vertigo.
Authors experienced 6 cases of Ramsay-Hunt syndrome during last few months. Patients were male and 4 female, all patients complained of otalgia and hearing impairment with vesicular eruption or auricle and external auditory meatus. Good "therapeutic results -were obtained after ant otics, prednisolone and; ATP had administrated.
